Weekly Tribal Tournament with Degrading Card Pool
Choose a tribe and build a deck following the deck construction rules below.
Each week all of the creatures (but not spells) present in the winning deck will be added to the ban list.
Please name your decks with the name of the Tribe(s) you've chosen.
Come lead your tribe to Victory!
Deck Construction Rules:
Choose a tribe (creature type).
Your deck must contain at least 18 creatures of your tribal type and must contain at least 2 copies of each creature. Dual or Triple tribed creatures count for any of their tribes.
If a tribe does not have enough members to meet the 18 card minimum it is considered a Scattered Tribe which has special rules, see below.
You may add additional creatures to the deck but all creatures in your deck must include at least 2 copies and either be of your tribal type, have the name of your tribe listed in the card's text, or directly reference a creature of your tribe type. If you have questions on whether a particular card is acceptable please ask.
Bron, Wild Tamer may be played in a Dinosaur deck because his text references dinosaur.
Brighttusk Sower may be played in a Plant Deck because it refers to Seedling which is a Plant.
The following spells count as Creatures and may be used for meeting 18 tribal count minimum for their respective tribes: Ether Wolves, Nethershriek, Phoenix Call, Phytobomb, Scatter the Seeds, Stinging Invocation
Solbind: Creatures added to your deck via Solbind do not count towards the 18 card minimum.
If a tribe cannot meet the 18 card minimum it can be joined by other Scattered Tribes.
You must add all available creatures of your tribe to the deck in full playsets until the 18 card minimum is met. Once you have done this you may choose a 2nd Scattered tribe and add creatures of that tribe to your deck until the 18 card minimum is met, but once again they mut be added in full playsets until the 18 card minimum is met.
If after adding all available cards of the 2nd tribe you still do not have 18 creatures you may repeat this step until you do have 18 creatures.
Once a Scattered tribe deck has met the 18 card minimum no more new tribes may be added but additional creatures from the last Scattered Tribe chosen may still be added (minimum 2 copies) if there are any more.
Spells are limited to a maximum of 2 copies per deck unless the spell is a tribal spell.
Tribal spells are spells that either directly reference a tribe in their text or include a tribe in the name and were deemed thematic to that tribe. Tribal spells my only be used by the appropriate tribe but your deck may include up to 3 copies of a Tribal spell. (A full playset of 3x is not required).
